The sidewalks of Blake Street in downtown Denver will be packed with folks, most of whom are wearing some sort of green, as well as a myriad of other St. Patty’s Day apparel, to celebrate the Irish.

The best place to view the parade depends on the viewing experience you are looking for on parade day:

  • The best place for families is right at the beginning of the parade, 27th and Blake Street.  Many families set up chairs and blankets and make a picnic out of the parade.
  • If you want to party, set up out in front of one of the local restaurants and bars that line the parade route–many have specials on food and drink on parade day.
  • If you like crowds and want to see the parade entries perform, then ground zero is where you’ll want to be. The judges viewing stand is right at Coors Field and Blake Street.
  • There are many groups that prefer the end of the parade down 17th street to Union station and beyond, some families have been staking out spots for 20 years and make this an annual tradition.
